About The Position

United Energy Workers Healthcare is seeking dedicated and empathetic Registered Nurses to provide in-home health care to energy workers. Nurses conduct personalized, comprehensive care and build meaningful relationships with patients, providing holistic support beyond medical needs. This role is offered as a 1099 independent contractor position and provides a flexible, independent working environment. The pay range is $40.00–$45.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Valid, active RN license in the state of practice.
• Willingness to travel to patients’ homes.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to pass state and federal background checks.
• Professional liability coverage is required.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Warm, empathetic approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and provide personalized, comprehensive care.
• Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed, with dignity and respect.
• Coordinate schedules directly with patients according to their plans of care, approved hours, and preferences.
• Monitor and promptly report changes in patients’ symptoms or behavior.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by treating physicians.
• Communicate with Case Managers, collaborating physicians, and specialists to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient logs in the EMR system.
• Provide advice and emotional support to patients and family members.
• Prepare and provide clear clinical notes and charting.
