About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) at PAM Health, a specialty healthcare provider with over 80 locations across 17 states. The role involves providing, directing, and supervising patient care within the nursing unit, utilizing the nursing process. Key aspects include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family education for post-hospitalization care, and accessing community resources. The role may also involve Charge Nurse duties, which require ACLS certification.

Requirements

• Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment.
• BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
• Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 6 shifts a month.
• Hospital experience (LTACH/Med Surg).
• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit.
• Planning, coordinating, and providing patient care.
• Interdisciplinary planning.
• Discharge planning.
• Patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization.
• Accessing community resources.
• Performing other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse duties (ACLS certification required).
