Requirements

  • Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the Minnesota State Board of Nursing.
  • Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering high-quality, resident-centered nursing care through the consistent application of the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Collaborating closely with residents and families, as well as interdisciplinary team members, including providers, to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans that promote optimal health and well-being.
  • Providing comprehensive nursing care across all phases of prevention, health maintenance, treatment, and rehabilitation, while ensuring adherence to all applicable standards, policies, and regulations.
  • Serving as charge nurse and being responsible for the appropriate delegation of tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel, ensuring that assignments align with staff competencies, resident needs, and scope of practice.
  • Providing oversight, guidance, and support to ensure the safe and effective delivery of care and timely resolution of concerns.
  • Practicing in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, applicable state and federal regulations, and the standards set forth by the American Nurses Association (ANA) Scope and Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.
  • Exemplifying professionalism, clinical competence, and compassionate leadership in promoting resident safety, dignity, and quality of life within the long-term care setting.
