About The Position
Good Shepherd Hospice is looking for compassionate, dedicated RNs to provide End of Life care to patients at home. The Community Hospice RN is responsible for providing nursing care to hospice patients, residents and/or family within their home setting, focusing on symptom management and pain control. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of hospice concepts, philosophy, policies and procedures. Prior experience in home care, hospice and/or oncology preferred. Position will cover Belle Terre, Coram, Miller Place, Port Jefferson, Riverhead and the surrounding areas.
Requirements
- Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of one year of recent hands on experience
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Current, valid NY State driver's license and own transportation.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of hospice concepts, philosophy, policies and procedures.
- Prior experience in home care, hospice and/or oncology.
