The Adolescent Psychiatric unit is a 14-bed acute stabilization unit for adolescent patients with a primary psychiatric/chemical dependency diagnosis. The Adolescent inpatient psychiatric program specializes in acute care for patients aged 12 - 17 with primary DSM5 or ICD10 diagnosis. Performs care that requires substantial specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills based upon the principles of psychological, biological, physical, and social sciences in the application of the nursing process. Utilizes high-level assessment skills to design and ensure multidisciplinary patient care to meet holistic needs, incorporating established practice guidelines and regulatory standards.
