Essex Meadows is recruiting for a hospitality-focused RN to work within our 5-Star Rated Health Center! We are a leader in comprehensive senior living in Essex, Connecticut, nestled beside a stunning 1,000-acre natural preserve and just minutes from the shoreline. Requirements
- Valid state, multi-state or compact RN license in good standing.
- Must have current CPR certification.
- At least 6 months of nursing experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
- Ability to build rapport with patients.
- Compassionate and caring demeanor.
- All new hires must be able to pass our preemployment screening process, which includes a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility.

- Previous experience in nursing, patient care, or other related fields.
Responsibilities
- Supervises direct care of residents and nursing personnel on his/her shift.
- Administers direct care as necessary.
- Administer prescribed medications to patients.
- Make rounds to ensure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment.
- Keeps physicians and families aware of changes in residents' condition.
- Assists in developing comprehensive care plans.
- Maintains accurate documentation of all care rendered.
- Responds to resident emergency call system.
- Encourages restorative care in order to obtain maximum resident independence.
- Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
- Assures proper functioning of equipment and adequate supplies.
- Shares on-call duties with designated staff.
