Senior Helpers of the Palm Beaches is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to conduct initial assessments prior to the start of services and perform required supervisory visits every 90 days. This role focuses on ensuring quality of care, regulatory compliance, and coordination with care teams to support client needs. Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience (home care preferred)
  • Strong Assessment and judgment skills
  • Knowledge of care planning and supervisory nursing requirements
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team, and manage a flexible schedule
  • Valid Driver's License AND reliable transportation
  • Proof of Car insurance
  • Cleared Level 2 Background
  • Physical/Statement of Good Health (withing 12 months)
  • Required Certificates: Domestic Violence Florida Laws & Rules, Human Trafficking, Impairment in the Workplace, Medical Error Prevention and Safety, First Aid Certification or BLS Card, CPR Certification or BLS Card, Alzheimer's Disease (Florida), HIV/AIDS, OSHA, HIPAA

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with client assessments in the home care field (preferred but willing to train)
  • Familiarity with Home care or community-based service models

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Comprehensive nursing assessments for new clients prior to the initiation of services
  • Evaluate client health status, functional needs, and appropriateness of services
  • Develop and/or review care plans based on assessment findings
  • Perform supervisory visits at least every 90 days, or as required
  • Monitor quality of care and compliance with established care plans
  • Provide guidance and oversight to direct care staff as applicable
  • Document all assessments, supervisory visits, and findings accurately and timely
  • Communicate changes in client condition to appropriate team members
  • Input information onto the Admin Platform via computer
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations
