About The Position

We are hiring for an RN for our St Paul Clinic. This is a 0.8 FTE position, scheduled Monday - Friday, with hours ranging between 7:30 am to 5:15 pm. This position is needed for Gillette Children's St. Paul ambulatory clinic and will support multiple specialty services. This will be a float position within the St. Paul Clinic. No travel will be required as all hours will be worked on the St. Paul campus. This position exists to administer family-centered nursing care to patients, advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention, and/or provide skilled assistance in navigation of the health care system as appropriate to the developmental, cultural, emotional, and medical, surgical, or rehabilitative needs of the patient and their families.

Requirements

  • Current RN License Required.
  • Documentation of completion of professional nursing program (RN program)
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license through the MN Board of Nursing
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (exception: Telehealth RNs). If candidate holds valid CPR through another acceptable organization (as determined by Gillette), candidate may be able to begin employment but must complete Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association within one month of employment
  • Current American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is required for RNs performing moderate sedation. PALS certification must be obtained: By the end of orientation, if moderate sedation responsibilities are included during orientation; or within 3 months of completing moderate sedation training.
  • Must be interested in working with people with short-term or long-term disabilities that begin in childhood
  • Physically able to work hours required and meet physical demands of the position.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant RN experience in an outpatient clinic setting is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or other healthcare related field
  • Prior nursing experience in a health-related setting
  • Nursing Specialty Certification relevant to the position (ex. Pediatrics, Palliative & Holistic Nursing, Care Management)
