About The Position

Metropoltian Behavioral Health, a UHS Facility, is a growing 144-bed behavioral health facility providing a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population. This includes specialty programs for adolescents, adults, and older adults, with behavioral health assessments performed 24 hours a day. The facility also offers programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues. Additionally, a robust outpatient program utilizes a combination of group, family, and individual therapy. The Registered Nurse (RN) coordinates and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members, adhering to the nursing process and standards of care. They are responsible for overseeing and directing Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Mental Health Technicians (MHTs) on their units to ensure patient safety and meet patient needs.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited professional nursing required
RN license issued by the State of Michigan

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree preferred
A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred

Responsibilities

Coordinate and evaluate patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.
Oversee and direct the LPNs and MHTs on their units to provide for the safety and needs of the patients.
