Requirements

Completion of an accredited Nursing Program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required.
Must hold a valid and current Connecticut registered nurse licensure.
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in an Acute InPatient setting.
Current BLS or CPR Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.

Nice To Haves

A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

Continuously assess patients’ conditions, monitor vitals, administer orders and medications, and document progress throughout the patients’ stay.
Provide cancer-related medications along with ensuring proper dosing, monitoring, and documentation.
Educate patients and families about their conditions and self-care.
Work closely with all physicians and healthcare provider staff for close monitoring of neurological statuses, cognitive functions, motor skills, sensory responses, and other therapies.
