This role requires a Registered Nurse (RN) knowledgeable in nursing practices, procedures, and the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing functions in a long-term care facility. The position demands the ability to make independent decisions, possess leadership skills, and work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional personnel. The RN will be responsible for planning, organizing, developing, implementing, and interpreting the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the Nursing department. Understanding and adherence to company policies, including harassment and complaint procedures, is essential. The role requires the ability to competently deliver basic nursing care, evaluate resident needs through ongoing assessment, and revise care plans based on changes in resident condition. Clinical supervision of LPNs and CNAs, along with appropriate and timely charting, are key responsibilities. Dependable and regular attendance, concentration, reasoning skills, good judgment, and effective communication within an interdisciplinary team are also necessary.
