About The Position

The Registered Nurse works on the 3rd Floor, a 25-bed unit in Nashville, Tennessee. Staffing ratios are 5–6 patients per nurse during the day and 6 patients per nurse at night. Day shifts include a unit secretary and 2–3 patient care technicians (PCTs); night shifts include 2–3 PCTs. Nurses may float as needed, primarily between medical-surgical units.

The role involves bedside shift report (BSSR) and hourly rounding. Nurses use equipment and systems including Sara Steady, wound vacs, telehealth, virtual sitters, remote telemetry, and Meditech. Scheduling requires working every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday), while weekdays are flexible. The unit highlights opportunities to work with new equipment or technology, experienced staff, diverse schedule options, and a supportive team environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Strong assessment skills.
• Experience with IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing cabinets.
• Advanced skills in IV and Foley catheter placement.
• BLS certification.
• Wear black or royal blue scrubs.

• CPI certification is preferred.
