About The Position

Rosewood, recognized as one of the 'Best Nursing Homes 2024-2025' by U.S. News & World Report, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for its 5-star Skilled Nursing team. This role operates under general supervision, with the RN responsible for the comprehensive nursing needs of residents. The position emphasizes HumanGood’s “Philosophy for Person-Directed Care,” ensuring a safe and healthy environment and encouraging resident participation in their daily life rhythms. The RN will develop assignments in coordination with care partners and hold team members accountable for resident care and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Completion of Licensed Registered Nursing Program (RN)
  • Current RN license in California
  • Current CPR certification
  • Excellent clinical observation and assessment skills
  • Proficient computer skills necessary to complete documentation, review electronic health records and communicate with team members.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates nursing care provided to all residents and includes residents in decision making processes.
  • Actively engages residents in participation in daily activities which are part of resident’s rhythm of daily life (including desired hygiene, grooming, and mobility).
  • May lead and direct care partners by providing support, encouragement, and direction as appropriate.
  • Makes frequent rounds and utilizes the nursing process to identify resident conditions that require further evaluation and treatment by a physician.
  • Reports significant medical changes to the relevant Team Members, Physician, DON, HSA and designated family members as appropriate.
  • Responds to emergency situations, carries out physician orders, and documents the event, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Accurately and completely performs direct nursing services, such as, medication administration, treatments, personal care and other nursing procedures.
  • Accurately receives documents and transcribes Physician Orders with the appropriate follow-through in a timely fashion, specifically advocating resident safety.
