About The Position

In this leadership role, you will be responsible for directing and overseeing all aspects of resident care on your assigned unit. You will act as a clinical leader, mentor, and key resource for our nursing staff, ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality of care in a safe and supportive environment.

Requirements

Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing.
Must hold a current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Rhode Island.
Current CPR certification is required.
Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead a team effectively.
Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and independent decision-making skills.
Strong knowledge of nursing best practices, as well as state and federal healthcare regulations.
A sincere desire to work with the elderly and a commitment to providing high-quality, person-centered care.

Nice To Haves

IV certifications are preferred.
A minimum of one year of clinical experience, preferably in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting, is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and support a dedicated team of nursing staff, including LPNs, CMTs, and CNAs, to ensure the highest standards of care.
Supervise the performance of unit personnel and provide guidance and on-the-job training as needed.
Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy accurately and in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, monitor residents' conditions, and respond promptly to any changes.
Develop, implement, and evaluate interdisciplinary care plans that meet the holistic needs of each resident.
Transcribe physician's orders and collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of care.
Maintain precise and thorough documentation of all resident care, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations, including infection control and safety standards.
Serve as a primary point of contact for residents and their families, providing education, addressing concerns, and offering compassionate support.
Foster an environment of respect, dignity, and open communication.
