This role involves managing patient care across the healthcare continuum to achieve optimal, safe, and cost-effective outcomes. The RN will demonstrate skills in collaboration, delegation, negotiation, and resource management. This specific position is within an ambulatory outpatient infusion center, supporting various departments including Community Regional Cancer Centers, Ambulatory Outpatient Physician Offices, Infectious Disease, Bariatric, and Renal Offices, as well as other community infusion needs.

Requirements

  • Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) accredited school of nursing, or three years of related professional nursing experience
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
  • 2 years acute care RN experience required

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate performance consistent with professional standards of practice, care, performance, the Nurse Practice Act and the mission and goals of the Community Health Network
  • Manage patient care in the healthcare continuum to achieve optimum outcomes in a safe and cost-effective manner
  • Demonstrate skills in collaboration, delegation, negotiation and management of resources
  • Perform blood transfusions
  • Administer IV hydration
  • Administer IVIG Infusions
  • Administer migraine cocktail infusions
  • Administer Solumedrol infusions
  • Administer rabies vaccine series
  • Administer antibiotic series needed on an outpatient basis
  • Administer Methotrexate injections
