About The Position

Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility, has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Located in Denison, Texas, the center offers major specialty services including open heart surgery and neurosurgery, supported by advanced resources like certified trauma care. The basic purpose of nursing at TMC is to provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy, with Patient Centered Care as the foundation. Nurses are expected to provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team, demonstrating Service Excellence standards and adhering to the Standards of Practice set forth by professional nursing associations. Working as a Registered Nurse (RN) at TMC and UHS offers a safe and supportive environment focused on patient care, valuing the nursing profession. Requirements

  • Current Texas nursing license or compact license.
  • One year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.
  • RQI BLS, ACLS and PALS required.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines and all required Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Healthcare Provider courses must be completed prior to working in a clinical setting.
  • Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
  • Must be able to identify and competently address needs of populations served.
