About The Position

Suncrest Hospice is seeking a weekend RN to assist with on-call needs. This role will work every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday, with 10-hour shifts. Suncrest Hospice aims to redefine hospice care by providing exceptional service through increased staff-to-patient ratios, leading to more clinical visits and lower clinician caseloads. We are a CHAP-certified hospice committed to high-quality patient and family care.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in good standing in the state(s) of practice.
• One year of experience under RN license.
• Willingness to drive with reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance to travel across the service area.
• Ability to learn an electronic medical records system.
• Must be available to work every other weekend on Saturdays and Sundays.

Nice To Haves

• Admissions and On-call experience.
• Works well within a team environment to collaborate daily with nurses, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and CNA leadership.
• Ability to work independently on day-to-day activities including phone, email, and written communication, meetings with healthcare professionals, and understanding of hospice rules and regulations.
• Time management skills to manage visits, documentation, and meetings.
• Opportunity to pick up shifts on Thursday and Friday.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and services for a group of hospice patients.
• Visit patients in their residences, including private homes, assisted living facilities, and hospitals.
• Assist with visits, including triage, symptom management, and PRN needs.
