About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) participates in and oversees patient care services consistent with accepted standards and prescribed by the attending physician. The RN observes, assesses, and reports patient conditions and changes, documenting in accordance with Cantex Clinical Policies & Procedures and applicable state and federal guidelines and regulations. The role includes electronic medical record documentation relevant to patient assessment, evaluation, and changes in condition, and may include administering prescribed medications and treatments. The RN receives, transcribes, and executes physicians’ orders, evaluates and implements patient care plans, and directs, monitors, and coordinates the timely delivery of quality patient care by subordinate staff. The RN also ensures Patient Care Management Systems are routinely in-serviced and incorporated into patient care delivery. This is a full-time, weekends-only position at Skilled Nursing at Bel Air at Teravista in Round Rock, Texas. The posting describes a positive culture and opportunities for career advancement.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Responsibilities

Participate in and oversee patient care services consistent with accepted standards and attending physician prescriptions.
Observe, assess, report, and document patient conditions and changes in accordance with Cantex policies and applicable regulations.
Complete electronic medical record documentation related to patient assessments, evaluations, and changes in condition.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, as applicable.
Receive, transcribe, and execute physicians’ orders.
Evaluate and implement patient care plans.
Direct, monitor, and coordinate subordinate staff to ensure timely delivery of quality patient care.
Ensure Patient Care Management Systems are routinely in-serviced and incorporated into patient care delivery.
