About The Position

This is a full-time, long-term position for a Registered Nurse (RN) at the largest medical facility between Boston, Massachusetts and Burlington, Vermont. The facility is located in a town known for its New England charm and urban qualities, listed on the American National Register of Historic Places. The town offers numerous amenities and is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, with proximity to the Appalachian Trail and world-class ski resorts. Major cities like Boston and Montreal are within driving distance. The role involves providing for patient needs through the nursing process, organizing and supervising care from supportive personnel, coordinating care with ancillary services, educating patients and their families, and serving as a patient advocate. The RN will be responsible for caring for patients with various medical, surgical, or other conditions, including chronic illnesses and minor injuries.

Requirements

Passed NCLEX-RN
Current CGFNS VisaScreen (Can be obtained at www.cgfns.org)
Eligible for NH RN License
Current Canadian or US passport
Minimum 1 years current acute care hospital experience in desired unit (as an RN post graduating from nursing school)
BLS
ACLS, PALS, NRP etc. depending on unit

Bachelors in Nursing preferred

Responsibilities

Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement
Organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel
Coordination of care provided by ancillary services.
Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care.
Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care.
Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.
