BrightStar Care is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a private duty assignment in Huffman, Texas. Requirements
- Current, unencumbered Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience required
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Negative TB skin test or chest X-ray, as required
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Current automobile insurance
- Reliable transportation
- Hands-on experience with straight catheterizations
- Hands-on experience with enteral feedings
- Hands-on experience with Baclofen pump management
Nice To Haves
- Three (3) or more years of nursing experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care in accordance with physician orders and the established plan of care.
- Assess patient condition and monitor for changes in health status.
- Utilize critical thinking and sound clinical judgment to address patient needs and ensure quality outcomes.
- Administer treatments, medications, and specialized nursing procedures within the RN scope of practice.
- Perform and manage enteral feeding regimens and catheterization procedures as required.
- Monitor and maintain Baclofen pump therapy according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, caregivers, and the care team regarding patient status and care needs.
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely clinical documentation.
- Follow all agency policies, procedures, infection control standards, and nursing practice regulations.
- Promote patient safety, dignity, comfort, and independence in the home environment.
- Treat patients, families, caregivers, and team members with professionalism, courtesy, and respect.
