This position is for a Registered Nurse on the Medical/Surgical Unit in Lewiston, Maine, working night shifts for a 12-week assignment. The role involves delivering safe patient care, providing direct patient care within the scope of practice, educating patients and families, directing nursing support staff, and maintaining standards of care.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Previous Acute Care hospital experience required.
- Ventilator Management experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Delivers safe patient care using the nursing process
- Provides direct patient care within scope of practice
- Educates patients and families; directs nursing support staff
- Maintains standards of care on the Medical/Surgical Unit
- Accountable for care of assigned patients
- Communicates clinical changes to physicians and responds promptly to condition changes
