About The Position
Hartford Healthcare is seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) to join their team. The Hospital of Central Connecticut, an acute-care community teaching hospital, offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services. The Counseling Center at The Hospital of Central Connecticut provides outpatient behavioral health services. RNs will practice at the top of their license using research, innovation, and evidence-based practices. Graduate RNs will receive clinical instruction and learning opportunities through the Nurse Residency program. The role involves providing nursing care under the direction of a Clinical Manager, utilizing the nursing process to develop a plan of care that addresses the holistic needs of patients and their families, and incorporating age-specific considerations.
Requirements
- RN with current Connecticut license required
- New graduates to work under supervision per State guidelines
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred
- Experience in applicable specialty preferred
Responsibilities
- Provides nursing care in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, policies and procedures of the hospital and as directed by the medical staff.
- Utilizes the nursing process to develop a plan of care which includes standards of practice to meet the physical, emotional spiritual, cultural and educational needs of the patient and family.
- Incorporates the needs and behaviors of patient's age group in planning and providing care.
