About The Position

This role involves providing direct patient care as a Registered Nurse (RN). Key responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining accurate medical records. The RN will evaluate patient complaints, communicate with healthcare providers, and develop/implement treatment plans. They will also monitor chronic conditions, respiratory issues, and seizures, ensuring timely interventions. Collaboration with BHS for medication management and participation in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings are also part of the role.

Requirements

Possess a current and unrestricted Registered Nurse License in state applying for work.
Applicable State Requirements
Must pass the applicable state/agency background check required for the work location jurisdiction, prior to employment.
Pre-employment drug screening.
Must possess a current and valid CPR certification or obtain within the first 30 days of employment.
Minimum age is 21 years old, as a requirement for employment (Connecticut specific).

Nice To Haves

Experience in residential nursing a plus.

Responsibilities

Administering medications and monitoring vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation in medical records.
Evaluating medical complaints and concerns from residents, effectively communicating with our Nurse Practitioners and Physicians.
Developing and implementing treatment plans, providing direct care and nursing services as prescribed.
Monitoring chronic health conditions, respiratory distress, and seizures, ensuring timely interventions.
Maintaining comprehensive medical records and logs, adhering to all mandated reporting and infection control protocols.
Collaborating with BHS regarding medication management and refills.
Participating in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, contributing your expertise to enhance patient care.
