Requirements

  • Current State of Tennessee Registered Nurse licensure
  • Associate’s or Bachelor's degree or RN Diploma in Nursing
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required to be current upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizing specialized plan-of-care intervention and serving as a patient-care innovator.
  • Shaping exceptional patient journeys every day and leveraging skills and cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing.
  • Responsible for all assigned nursing care activities to include but not limited to wound care for patients of all ages and other clinical activities associated with providing safe patient care.
  • Following all WHC policies and procedures, care protocols and Diversified Clinical Services Practice Guidelines, as directed by a Registered Nurse, or Physician.
  • Assisting with patient and wound care data conferences.
  • Demonstrating the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients served on his/her assigned unit as described in unit-based competencies, policies and procedures.
  • In collaboration with other staff members, provides bedside patient care, implementing the interventions identified in the plan of care, as directed by physician.
  • Ensuring appropriate patient care documentation.
  • Implementing and assuring compliance with wound center and hospital policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining familiarity with regulatory standards.
  • Reporting quality of care issues to clinical manager or Program Director.
  • Ensuring availability of necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Communicating with all team members regarding therapeutic interventions.
  • Non-Essential Functions and Other duties as assigned.
