About The Position

Fairview Range is hiring a Cross-Trained Registered Nurse (RN) for our Women's Health and Birth Center team in Hibbing, MN. The Cross-Trained Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients. All core RNs within the unit are trained to Labor & Delivery, Post-Partum, and lactation support. Cross-Trained RNs are trained in Post-Partum and lactation support. Some RNs on the unit are Certified Lactation Consultants. We offer inpatient and outpatient lactation support services through IBCLC, CLC, and lactation trained RNs. This is a cross-train position with hours as needed. The unit has 10 beds, including 4 private labor and delivery suites, and sees more than 300 baby deliveries annually. The care team includes OB Physicians, Maternal Fetal Medicine Physicians, Family Practice Physicians, CRNAs, RNs, and Unit Assistants. Requirements

Current RN working within Fairview.
Current RN licensure required.
A preference will be given to those who have current BLS, current ACLS, and NRP.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs a total systems assessment according to established policies (including physical, psychosocial and spiritual data) upon admission, as well as ongoing assessments.
Analyzes assessment data, identifies problems and develops the plan of care in collaboration with the patient, significant other and resource personnel.
Provides age specific direct patient care in collaboration with all disciplines according to standards of care.
