About The Position

This position provides safe, efficient, age-specific nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process to assist them in attaining, maintaining, regaining, and sustaining optimal health status. The unit, 9 West, can hold 24 patients with 20 private rooms and 2 semi-private rooms, caring for residents with diagnoses ranging from CHF to Sepsis, and Stroke to COPD exacerbations.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Master in Nursing (MN) (Required)
Knowledge of nursing process and practice (Required proficiency)
Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (e.g., stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices) (Required proficiency)
Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required Upon Hire)
Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required Upon Hire)

Nice To Haves

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit.
