As part of our team at Wilson Medical Center, you will support clinical operations that directly influence patient outcomes, staff development, and the overall quality of care delivered within our Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation environment. Your leadership helps advance our mission of making communities healthier®. Our Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Unit includes 90 beds—20 dedicated to short-term rehabilitation and 70 to long-term care. Our interdisciplinary team consists of Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and Medication Aides who work collaboratively to provide high-quality, person-centered care. As an RN Supervisor, you will oversee nursing operations on your assigned shift, coordinate resident care, support staff performance, and ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. This role is essential in maintaining a safe, supportive, and high‑quality care environment for residents and staff.

Requirements

  • Current, unencumbered RN license in North Carolina (or multistate)
  • Graduation from an accredited Nursing Education program
  • Current BLS certification

Responsibilities

  • Performs comprehensive resident assessments and develops individualized care plans
  • Implements, evaluates, and revises care plans based on resident needs and clinical changes
  • Coordinates admissions, transfers, and discharges to ensure smooth transitions
  • Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support resident care
  • Provides clear communication and education to residents and families
  • Oversees medication administration, treatments, and clinical procedures
  • Ensures accurate, timely, and complete documentation
  • Assigns and supervises LPNs and CNAs, ensuring competency and adherence to standards
  • Supports orientation, training, and ongoing development of nursing staff
  • Investigates concerns, resolves issues, and implements corrective actions
  • Maintains equipment, supplies, and a safe, organized work environment
  • Participates in process improvement, regulatory readiness, and quality initiatives
  • Serves as Charge Nurse when assigned, coordinating staffing and unit operations
  • Demonstrates professionalism, calm leadership, and strong resident advocacy
