Registered Nurse RN Utilization Management
About The Position
At Saint Francis Hospital, our Registered Nurses (RNs) in Utilization Management are responsible for coordinating patient care, assessing patient needs, and supporting the development of appropriate care plans. They collaborate with healthcare providers, monitor patient progress, facilitate smooth transitions throughout the continuum of care, and advocate for patients’ overall well-being. As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Utilization Management Department, you will play an integral role in a collaborative process that coordinates, monitors, and plans healthcare services throughout the patient’s illness and continuum of care.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school
- Valid RN license in the state of Connecticut
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Five years of diversified, progressive experience in acute care and/or other settings within the continuum of care
- Knowledge and understanding of nationally recognized medical utilization criteria, HCFA/OBRA requirements, State of Connecticut regulatory compliance requirements, and JCAHO accreditation standards
- BLS certification
