About The Position
Peter Becker Community is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to lead the daily operations of a nursing unit, mentor and support clinical staff, and ensure our residents receive exceptional, person-centered care. As an RN Unit Manager, you'll play a vital role in fostering a positive team culture while collaborating with physicians, therapists, residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver the highest quality of care. Requirements
- Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to coach, mentor, and inspire others
- Commitment to person-centered care and exceptional customer service
- Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations
- Passion for creating a positive experience for residents, families, and team members
Nice To Haves
- Previous long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation experience preferred
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead the daily clinical operations of an assigned nursing unit
- Supervise, coach, mentor, and develop nursing staff
- Assess residents and oversee individualized care plans
- Ensure resident care is delivered in accordance with physician orders and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Monitor resident outcomes and ensure high standards of quality care
- Review documentation, treatments, and medication management for accuracy and compliance
- Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Lead care conferences and communicate resident updates with families and team members
- Promote infection prevention, resident safety, and regulatory compliance
- Serve as a clinical leader and resource for the nursing team
- Provide support to the Director of Nursing, including participation in the on-call rotation
