About The Position

Peter Becker Community is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to lead the daily operations of a nursing unit, mentor and support clinical staff, and ensure our residents receive exceptional, person-centered care. As an RN Unit Manager, you'll play a vital role in fostering a positive team culture while collaborating with physicians, therapists, residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver the highest quality of care. Requirements

  • Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and inspire others
  • Commitment to person-centered care and exceptional customer service
  • Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations
  • Passion for creating a positive experience for residents, families, and team members

Nice To Haves

  • Previous long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation experience preferred
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily clinical operations of an assigned nursing unit
  • Supervise, coach, mentor, and develop nursing staff
  • Assess residents and oversee individualized care plans
  • Ensure resident care is delivered in accordance with physician orders and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
  • Monitor resident outcomes and ensure high standards of quality care
  • Review documentation, treatments, and medication management for accuracy and compliance
  • Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Lead care conferences and communicate resident updates with families and team members
  • Promote infection prevention, resident safety, and regulatory compliance
  • Serve as a clinical leader and resource for the nursing team
  • Provide support to the Director of Nursing, including participation in the on-call rotation
