About The Position
This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) on the Surgical Trauma Stepdown unit at Lankenau Medical Center. The role involves working three out of four weekends per month on the day shift, caring for a 32-bed unit with surgical/trauma stepdown patients. The position offers opportunities for career development through tuition reimbursement, involvement in nursing committees and councils, and participation in evidence-based research projects. Requirements
- One year+ of recent Stepdown level Nurse experience required.
- RN Diploma, ASN required.
- PA RN license OR a multi-state license verified in one of the approved states through the Nursing Licensure Compact.
- Provider BLS (American Heart Assoc/American Red Cross) required.
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred (if you do not have your BSN, you must enroll within 6 months and complete within 3 years).
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team within the 32-bed unit.
- Providing care and treatment for Surgical/Trauma Stepdown patient population.
- Pursuing certifications or advanced nursing degrees.
- Becoming engaged by joining hospital & system-wide Nursing Committees, Unit Councils, evidence-based research projects, precepting new staff, and pursuing the Clinical Ladder program.
