About The Position
This position is part of the Registered Nurse (RN) Surgical Services Training Academy, focusing on the Operating Room. The role involves preparing for and participating in classroom and clinical training, completing exams, maintaining clinical records, and providing age-developmental appropriate care. The work environment may involve interruptions, unpredictable situations, long irregular hours, and potential exposure to infections. Physical requirements include standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, finger and hand dexterity, talking, hearing, seeing, and lifting up to 20 lbs.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of applicable state required.
- Strong time management and multi-tasking skills with ability to prioritize tasks/goals in a timely manner.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Prepares for classroom and clinical work prior to scheduling meetings.
- Completes exams on scheduled days.
- Maintains clinical records of cases.
- Maintains positive attitude in clinical rotations.
- Provides age-developmental appropriate care in accordance with Age/Developmental Specific Guidelines for the age groups served when participating in patient care.
