Registered Nurse (RN) Surgical Oncology Stepdown (New Grad)
About The Position
The UH Cleveland Medical Center – Seidman Cancer Center 5 is an acute surgical oncology telemetry environment with step down unit pace. This role provides safe, efficient, age-specific nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process to assist them in attaining, maintaining, regaining, and sustaining optimal health status. The position involves implementing the nursing process through effective relationship-based nursing care, demonstrating technical skills for safe practice and positive outcomes, clear communication and collaboration for optimal patient care and operations, self-development, contributing to the nursing profession, displaying leadership, and embodying the hospital's mission and values.
Requirements
- Diploma RN, Associate or Bachelor's Degree of Nursing from an accredited program
- An Ohio RN license is not required to be considered for this position. If selected to move forward, employment offers may be made contingent on candidate successfully obtaining RN license within time frame discussed at the time of offer acceptance.
- Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation.
- Education and degree verification will be required upon receiving a job offer.
Nice To Haves

- Prior experience on a related unit or specialty in a practicum, internship or STNA/PCNA/NAII is preferred
