As a Registered Nurse (RN) joining our team, you’re embracing a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier. This role provides direct patient care in the surgical setting using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. The RN will coordinate the daily OR schedule, monitor case progression, adjust staffing, facilitate room turnover, and communicate with various departments regarding schedule changes or issues. They will also troubleshoot workflow disruptions, prioritize cases, monitor OR efficiency metrics, and serve as a resource for OR staff. The position involves performing care interventions, documenting patient care, monitoring patient condition, preparing and transporting patients, preparing surgical suites, assessing and caring for patients throughout the perioperative process, operating specialized equipment, accounting for supplies, collaborating across disciplines, and providing patient and family education. Additionally, the RN will assist patients with daily living activities, advocate for patient well-being, participate in performance improvement and continuing education, provide quality patient care, and work flexible shifts or units as needed. The role requires maintaining regular and reliable attendance and performing other duties as assigned.
