About The Position

JSAS HealthCare, Inc. (JSASHC) is a CARF-accredited outpatient opioid treatment program licensed by the New Jersey Department of Health. The organization specializes in Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), counseling, and peer support services for individuals with opioid use disorder. JSASHC focuses on evidence-based care delivered in an outpatient setting, enabling participants to receive treatment while maintaining their daily responsibilities. The team is committed to reducing the impact of opioid use disorder through compassionate, person-centered care and ongoing support for long-term recovery. This is a full-time, on-site Registered Nurse for our new Mobile Medication based in Neptune, NJ. The Registered Nurse in Substance Abuse Treatment will provide direct patient care within an outpatient opioid treatment setting, including administering and monitoring Medication-Assisted Treatment (such as methadone or buprenorphine) in accordance with clinical protocols and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Jersey.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification required.
  • Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills, including monitoring for medication side effects, withdrawal symptoms, and medical or psychiatric changes.
  • Proficiency in accurate documentation, electronic health records (EHR) use, and adherence to regulatory and confidentiality standards (including HIPAA).
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and provide nonjudgmental, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive care.
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

Responsibilities

  • Administering and monitoring Medication-Assisted Treatment (such as methadone or buprenorphine) in accordance with clinical protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Conducting nursing assessments.
  • Monitoring vital signs and withdrawal symptoms.
  • Documenting care accurately in medical records.
  • Collaborating with physicians, counselors, and peer support staff to implement individualized care plans.
  • Providing patient education on medications, harm reduction, and health promotion.
  • Supporting crisis intervention and referral to higher levels of care when needed.
  • Maintaining medication inventory.
  • Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Participating in quality improvement and interdisciplinary team meetings.
