About The Position

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a skilled RN to assist our Special Procedures Team! In this fast-paced role, you will direct and provide professional nursing care in our Special Procedure/Sedation Unit. In this unit, you will be assisting the provider with a variety of outpatient procedures, such as: injections, minor procedures, and infusions. Administering conscious sedation under the direction of a physician or CRNA. Monitoring/assessing patients receiving conscious sedation before, during, and after receiving conscious sedation. You will utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to direct or provide nursing care. Individuals in this role perform such duties as delegating nursing assignments, preparing schedules, overseeing admissions and discharges, and monitoring and ordering medicines and supplies.

Requirements

  • Current RN licensure in the State of Idaho
  • Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards
  • Ability to relate and work effectively with others
  • Aware of professional nursing standards and performs in accordance with them

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience strongly preferred
  • BSN strongly preferred
  • ACLS certification within six months of employment
  • PALS certification within six months of employment
  • Previous sedation experience required

Responsibilities
