This role is on the Procedural Services Short Stay unit at Community Hospital East. The RN will be part of a professional procedural care team, primarily responsible for blood transfusions, hydration, and medication infusions. The position also involves pre/post-operative duties for procedural patients, including those in the Cath Lab, IR, and post-surgical care. The RN will collaborate with the entire procedural care team to deliver exceptional care and compassion to patients and their families.

Requirements

  • Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) accredited school of nursing, or three years of related professional nursing experience
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
  • Strong written, verbal and nonverbal interpersonal and professional communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task
  • Ability to take direction well but also be self-directed and motivated
  • High degree of responsibility and responsiveness
  • 1 year of prior Progressive Care experience required

Responsibilities

  • Primarily responsible for blood transfusions, hydration, and medication infusions.
  • Responsible for some pre/post-operative duties for procedural patients including Cath Lab, IR and post-surgical.
  • Collaborate with all members of the procedural care team to provide exceptional care and compassion to our patient population and the families we serve.
