About The Position
Valley View hospital is looking for a Registered Nurse to work as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE). A SANE nurse provides compassionate, trauma-informed care to assault survivors. This is a PRN, day/evening/night position that will provide administrative assistance with program growth in a hybrid remote/in-person role.
Requirements
- Current BLS certification through (AHA) American Heart Association
- Must have completed Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner training
- Must have 2 years of Registered Nurse experience
- Must have at least 1 year of SANE experience
Responsibilities
- Conduct physical assessments
- Collect forensic evidence
- Treat injuries
- Collaborate with legal and advocacy teams
- Take rotating triage call
- Perform a minimum number of exams
