About The Position

This position coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching, acts as a patient advocate and works as part of a team with ancillary and non-nursing departments. The Registered Nurse (RN) Rehabilitation performs accurately patient assessments and identifies individual care needs. They initiate and implement appropriate nursing interventions, deliver care appropriate to the condition and age of each patient, and document medical necessity and nursing activities in a timely and accurate manner. The role also involves completing and revising Interdisciplinary Care Plans for assigned patients, performing timely and accurate Quality Improvement (QI) assessments, and maintaining facility equipment, supplies, and work areas. Additionally, the RN assists in the orientation of new employees, coordinates and supervises activities of employees and department operations, and participates in performance/process improvement activities.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing required
  • Minimum six months of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • BCLS required
  • Ability to understand, communicate, and react effectively to patient and family needs.
  • Critical thinking
  • Work well under pressure while keeping calm and maintaining customer focus

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • ACLS preferred
  • CRRN preferred
