About The Position
Registered Nurse Position Summary ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation. Assesses the patient’s condition and nursing care needs. Sets goals and prescribes appropriate nursing interventions to meet physical, psychological, social and rehabilitative needs of patients. Develops individual nursing care plans. Implements care plans and makes revisions as needed. Evaluates patient care outcomes. Collaborates with physicians and other hospital employees. Administers medications, treatments and therapies. Communicates with patients and oversees provision of care. Provides patients and/or family with instruction and education relevant to condition. Accurately documents nursing observations, assessments, medications, treatments, and other care given. Additional Information: Maintains facility equipment, supplies and work areas. Assists in the orientation of new employees. Coordinates and supervises activities of employees and department operations. Participates in performance/process improvement activities.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required
- Graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma program
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- BCLS required
- Ability to understand, communicate, and react effectively to patient and family needs.
- Critical thinking
- Work well under pressure while keeping calm and maintaining customer focus
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
- BSN preferred
- ACLS preferred
- CRRN preferred
