About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) Rehabilitation is responsible for assessing patient conditions and nursing care needs, setting goals, and prescribing appropriate nursing interventions to meet the physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs of patients. This role involves developing and implementing individual nursing care plans, evaluating patient care outcomes, and collaborating with physicians and other hospital employees. The RN administers medications, treatments, and therapies, communicates with patients, and provides instruction and education relevant to their condition. Accurate documentation of nursing observations, assessments, medications, treatments, and other care provided is essential. Additionally, the RN maintains facility equipment, supplies, and work areas, assists in orienting new employees, coordinates and supervises employee activities and department operations, and participates in performance/process improvement activities.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing required
  • Graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma program
  • 1 year or less of experience
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • BCLS required
  • Ability to understand, communicate, and react effectively to patient and family needs.
  • Critical thinking
  • Work well under pressure while keeping calm and maintaining customer focus

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
  • BSN preferred
  • ACLS preferred
  • CRRN preferred

Responsibilities
