About The Position

Under minimal supervision, provides professional nursing care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly. Ensures all patient care is provided in accordance with the scope of practice, established standards, and practices. Supports the mission statement, policies, and procedures of the Baptist Health System. Completes established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse or currently eligible for state board certification.
• BLS - required for all areas - Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training or the Military Training Network.
• ACLS required for all areas in Surgery Services and must obtain within 6 months of date of hire or transfer into unit.
• PALS - required for Post Anesthesia and must obtain within 6 months of date of hire or transfer into unit.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors Degree
• Completion of a peri-anesthesia or critical care internship/training course.
• Surgery - CNOR Board eligible/certified
• Post Anesthesia-CPAN Board eligible/certified
• GI Lab SGNA Board eligible/certified
