About The Position

Radiology RN's coverage areas are all imaging procedures which include CT; MRI; Fluoroscopy; Nuclear Medicine; Breast Imaging support of variety of procedures which can include pre/post calls; anesthesia/sedation recovery; etc. We are seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) who are dedicated to providing exceptional care to those we serve at Loyola Medicine. Requirements

A Degree from an accredited school/college of nursing is required - BSN or ADN
BLS Provider (accredited by the American Heart Association) required prior to hire
Illinois Board of Nursing license prior to hire

Responsibilities

Provide coverage for all imaging procedures including CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, Nuclear Medicine, and Breast Imaging.
Support a variety of procedures, which may include pre/post calls, anesthesia/sedation recovery.
Perform IV access, including for difficult access patients.
Administer medications.
Monitor and manage patients during and after sedation.
Conduct pre- and post-procedure assessments, including lab clearance.
Perform hemodynamic monitoring.
Recognize basic telemetry rhythms.
Rapidly identify patient deterioration.
Escalate appropriately using RRT and code protocols.
Implement infection prevention measures, especially for procedural breast imaging.
Provide high-level patient education regarding procedures, risks, and consent support.
Manage patient anxiety.
Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
