About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Radiology department at Harbour View Medical Center. The position requires 40 hours per week, with a work shift that includes days and evenings. The ideal candidate will possess strong cardiac knowledge, including cardiac rhythm interpretation, ECG measurements, and stress testing. Experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory setting is considered a plus. The nurse will deliver patient care using the nursing process, including data collection, assessment, problem identification, care planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsibilities also include coordinating and directing patient teaching and collaborating with other health team members.

Requirements

Valid nursing license from the state of practice
Associate of Nursing or Diploma in Nursing
Knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and future innovations
Nursing judgment and skill based on principles of the biological, physical, behavioral, and social sciences
Application of the nursing process in patient care delivery
Coordination of patient care delivery
Evaluation of professional nursing practice to optimize goals and outcomes
Health teaching and health promotion
Patient advocacy and partnership
Interprofessional collaboration and leadership
Understanding and utilization of office and clinical technologies

Responsibilities

Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
Analyze assessment data and create a plan of care.
Implement treatment and evaluate its effectiveness.
Administer medications safely, consistent with the State of Practice and Bon Secours Mercy Health policies and procedures.
Serve as the point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments.
Act as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department.
Incorporate the professional practice model into care delivery.
