About The Position

Thank you for considering a career at Roper St. Francis Healthcare! This Registered Nurse position is scheduled for 36 hours per week, with a work shift typically falling on Days/Evenings, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, with one day off each week and on-call requirements. The primary work location is Berkeley Hospital in Summerville, with potential for on-call duties at other department locations. A minimum of 2 years of acute care experience, specifically in the ER or ICU, is strongly preferred. ACLS certification is required before the completion of orientation. The primary function of this role is to deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, which includes data collection, assessment, identification and prioritization of patient needs, and evaluation of care outcomes. The RN will also coordinate and provide patient teaching and manage the care provided by health team members. In collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team, the RN will conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, implement treatments, and evaluate their effectiveness. They will administer medications safely and serve as the primary point of contact for patient care coordination across hospital departments. Additionally, the RN will act as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the department and integrating the professional practice model into daily care delivery.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
