About The Position

This is a full-time Registered Nurse position in the Behavioral Health department, specifically focusing on Geriatric patients. The role involves providing direct patient care, including treatment, education, emotional support, running therapeutic groups, psychiatric crisis intervention, and managing seclusion and restraint. RNs are responsible for documenting patient histories, administering medications, assisting with diagnostic tests, and aiding in patient follow-up and rehabilitation. They also educate patients and families on managing conditions, diet, exercise, and medication self-administration.

Requirements

Current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse
Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards
Working knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team process, behavioral health programming and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units
Working knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health care

Treating patients
