Registered Nurse (RN) –Progressive Care
About The Position
The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Atrium Health Pineville sees a variety of patient diagnoses including COPD/Pulmonary Diseases, Heart Failure, Cardiac Arrhythmias, Renal Failure, DKA, and conditions related to withdrawal. Patients may require mechanical ventilation, continuous BIPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, hypothermia regulation, and titratable IV drips. The unit values Shared Governance through its Unit Practice Council, encourages Clinical Ladder Advancement and Progressive Certification, and fosters a strong unit culture of teamwork, commitment, integrity, and caring. It also offers a 2:1 Virtual Nursing Co-Care Model for experienced RNs. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and communication skills, you will lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- At least 6 months of RN experience (not for new grads)
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
