Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together. Work location: Texas Health Frisco 12400 N Dallas Parkway TX 75033. Work hours: PRN - Monday through Friday 0700-1930 days/hours vary. PACU highlights: Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team. Fast-Paced, high-volume department. The professional nurse exhibits an understanding of basic human needs. The professional nurse demonstrates recognition and understanding of the patient’s affiliations.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program Or Diploma Nurse Program
- RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred
- One-year of experience as a registered nurse in PACU, ICU or ED strongly preferred
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Req
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Upon Hire Pref
Responsibilities
- Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant other’s need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out-of-hospital transfers.
