This is a part-time, casual RN position in Primary Care, specifically within Internal Medicine at AMG Tower Ct. The role involves engaging in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices. The nurse will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, actively involving patients and families throughout their care continuum. Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, mobilizing resources, and collaborating with the care team to positively influence care outcomes. A strong emphasis is placed on upholding a culture of safety, continuously evaluating outcomes, and taking necessary actions. The role may involve administering medications, treatments, and therapies safely, demonstrating effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution skills to foster team collaboration and appropriate delegation. Professional development, continuous education, and maintaining certifications are expected. Adherence to the ANA Code of Ethics and ethical decision-making is paramount, along with respecting interdisciplinary roles and contributing to integrated, unbiased patient care. The RN will be responsible for appropriate delegation to other nursing staff and unlicensed assistive personnel, as well as maintaining accurate and timely EHR documentation. Flexibility is required, as the nurse may be asked to float to other units, departments, care areas, or facilities within the designated service area to meet patient care needs. The position requires the ability to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development principles and the ability to assess and interpret patient data based on age-specific needs.
