About The Position

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to be an integral part of a surgical team that performs multispecialty procedures. The role involves assuming overall responsibility for the management of the operating room to which you are assigned, with opportunities to circulate and scrub. This position is located at the Ambulatory Surgery Center at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) Required
• 6 months of RN experience Required
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state(s) where patients are receiving care or may work as eligible per state licensing regulations Upon Hire Required
• Basic Life Support/CPR Upon Hire Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Upon Hire Required

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
• Experience working pre/post operatively with varied surgical patient populations Preferred
• Emergency nursing, critical care, medical/surgical, or ambulatory surgery center experience Preferred
• Moderate sedation and cardiac monitoring experience Preferred
• 1 year or more of RN experience Preferred
