About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Pre-Op position at Canyon Vista Medical Center is a full-time role focused on providing pre-operative and post-operative care within the Pre/Post Unit. This role is integral to the Perioperative Services Department, which handles a wide range of surgical specialties for Cochise County. The department emphasizes high-quality, patient-centered care across the surgical continuum in a dynamic, collaborative, and rewarding environment. The work involves meaningful tasks, strong teamwork, and opportunities for professional growth. Schedules are typically Monday through Friday with four 10-hour shifts, and some on-call coverage is required to support after-hours and urgent patient needs. The pace can be fast and demanding but is fulfilling for those who enjoy hands-on care and being part of a dedicated surgical team.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required
• Must have an active Arizona or Compact RN License.
• BLS required.
• ACLS & PALS certifications are required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree preferred.
• One year of experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Delivery of pre-operative and post-operative care of the perioperative patient in the Pre/Post Unit through the use of the nursing process.
• Assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care pertinent to the individual patient.
